About the event
Kerry DuWors is a Canadian violinist and chamber musician based at Brandon University, where she has been Associate Professor of Violin since 2003. She is a winner of the Eckhardt-Gramatté National Music Competition and has performed with musicians including James Ehnes and Yo-Yo Ma, as well as with the National Arts Centre Orchestra, Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra and Manitoba Chamber Orchestra. Canadian-American cellist Denise Djokic has appeared as a soloist with major Canadian orchestras and many American and international ensembles.
She has a substantial recording career, including the complete Britten Cello Suites, and recordings of the Chopin and Rachmaninoff cello sonatas with pianist David Jalbert. Her debut Sony Classical recording led to a featured appearance at the 2002 Grammy Awards.
Futaba Niekawa is a Japanese classical pianist and collaborative musician with degrees from Eastman and the New England Conservatory, now Assistant Professor of Collaborative Piano at the University of Maryland. She has…
