JAN RAEIMON NATO, tenor, is currently pursuing a Master of Music in Opera Performance at the University of Toronto. An alumnus of the Desautels Faculty of Music, he is best known to Manitoba audiences as the 2012 winner of the Winnipeg Music Festival Rose Bowl. In 2013, Jan will appear in the role of Arlekin in Jean Vallerand’s Le Magicien, and in the role of Igor Stravinsky's Mavra. This summer Jan will travel to Lucca, Italy to perform the role of Don Ottavio in Mozart's beloved Don Giovanni.
BRONWEN GARAND-SHERIDAN, oboist, is in her final year of Oboe Performance at the Marcel Desautels Faculty of Music. Bronwen was a winner in the 2012 University of Manitoba Concerto Competition as well as a finalist in the prestigious Genser Competition for Performance. She has performed professionally under the direction of conductors Andrey Boreyko and Alexander Mickelthwate with the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra, the Royal Winnipeg Ballet, and Manitoba Opera. Bronwen 's upcoming performances include a spring concert with pianist Christopher Kayler as part of the Skywalk series, her Graduation Recital in April, and is a featured soloist in a concerto with the University of Manitoba Symphony Orchestra.
ARIEL CARRABRÉ, cellist, is currently in his final year of a Bachelor's Degree in Music Performance studying with Yegor Dychkov at McGill University. He is a former student of Yuri Hooker, Winnipeg Symphony's principal cellist. In 2007, he was a winner of the WSO's young artist Concerto Competition. In 2008, he represented Manitoba in the finals of both the CMC and the National Festival and traveled to Italy to participate in a month long chamber music festival in the Cassalmaggiore area. In the summer of 2009 he was selected to take part in the Morningside Music Bridge program in Gdansk, Poland and for the past two summers, he was selected to take part in the Toronto Summer Chamber Institute.
JOSHUA PETERS, violinist, is currently studying for his Bachelor of Music Performance at McGill University with Denise Lupien and Axel Strauss. He has had the opportunity to perform in concert with many renowned musicians including André La Plante, Stephen Dann, and members of the Vienna Piano Trio and Nash Ensemble. He has performed as a soloist with the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra on many occasions and with the Winnipeg Youth Symphony Orchestra. Joshua has also has appeared as concertmaster of the McGill Symphony Orchestra, the McGill Contemporary Music Ensemble and as a member of the WSO. Joshua is dedicated to the performance of contemporary music.
TONY ZHOU, pianist, is currently in his first year pursuing a Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance at Indiana University-Jacobs School of Music with Professor Jean–Louis Haguenauer. He was formerly a pupil of the late Ann Lugsdin and David Moroz until 2012. He has won numerous awards and scholarships. Tony made his orchestra debut with the Winnipeg Youth Orchestra at the age of ten and has also played concertos with the Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra, the Polish Baltic F. Chopin Philharmonic Orchestra and the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra.
